Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was taking classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the moment. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she came in second place in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix got a contract to pursue an official career at Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. A year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record doing 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium throughout her events during the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
