Aisha Jamila Hinds is a famous American actress. She is known for her roles in the the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003 she has demonstrated her range in acting providing outstanding performances on television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. In 2005, she was noticed initially for her role as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her role as women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actress. Hind was also praised for the role she performed as Harriet Tubman within WGN America's period-drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will continue for an additional season. Recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is set to release the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj died in March 2017 after a lengthy stint as a scientist for the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother, is a homemaker.
