Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first attempt she made, she was ranked second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. won the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
